The space should look big

If the living room itself is small, you can combine the living room with the kitchen. The storage spaces are closed, so they are not conspicuous.

Wooden floors

Parquet or engineered board is not important. Important: the width of 7 in. and wider, (at most 5.5 in.). It is possible to use a board-different-length, the main thing that was in it and long pieces - from 59 in. and more. In our opinion more expensive look dark floors under the varnish. Oil looks more natural, but easier.

Expensive sofa

The sofa is the center of the living room's composition, and it's important that it looks expensive. Ideally, buy an Italian sofa, a favorite of many of our customers Ditre, or you can order from local furniture makers, but necessarily in a good premium furniture fabric. Expensive will look fabric with the effect of velvet or velour, cheap will look like a canvas fabric.

Visually high ceilings

If you actually have a height of 9.35 ft., or even less, rather than 10+ ft., that's okay. You can accentuate the ceiling height with vertical lines in your interior decor design, ceiling-to-floor curtains.

Black means expensive

Yes, it is. All dark interiors and interiors of deep rich dark tones look expensive. If you have a small living room, then black is out.

Moldings and cornices

In case you have a modern classic or other styles that allow the use of these elements. Even just a painted wall with moldings looks noble.

Shiny surfaces

Here we are talking about metal and glass. A glass partition, glass doors with metal accents, or at least just a coffee table by the sofa made of glass would look cool! Gold, bronze, nickel, copper or chrome? A lot depends on the interior context and colors. It's better to be careful with gold, so that the interior doesn't turn into kitsch.

Lighting

Lighting should be varied and not dim. With poor lighting, even expensive interiors look dull. Floor lamps, table lamps, sconces will help to create an interesting complex lighting effect. When just points in the ceiling evenly illuminate everything, it's great and comfortable, but when there is nothing else, it's visually boring.

Carpets and textiles

More expensive will look carpet with a uniform monochromatic coloring. Curtains are also very influential on the effect of expensive, the fabric should be visually pleasing.

Greens

The trend in 2022 is for greenery to go from the exterior to the interior. Ficus and palms and monsters look great. And that trend continues in 2023.

Natural materials, avoiding cheap imitation

I think everything is clear here. The main thing is no plastic. Stretch ceilings are cheap, and a lot. Plastic window sills and sandwich panels on windows - very!
