House in the style of minimalism

Challenge

A young married couple in Germany wanted an interior design for the living room and bedroom in a classic style. The customers wanted a bright space in a modern style and with unusual details.

Solution

The customers were ready to trust us and we offered them a functional interior, in which we divided the spacious 538 sq.ft. living room into a traditional sitting area with a sofa and a lounge area with armchairs and a tea table.

Living room

The living room is done in monochrome, neutral black and white tones. Little Greene paint is used in the finish

Minotti furniture.

Light space in combination with sophisticated unusual furniture and bright accents looks dynamic, expressive and at the same time calm and soft, enveloping a pleasant and exclusive comfort.

The aesthetics of luxury in simple shapes. Black means expensive.

The client wanted the interior to have black, which would emphasize the exclusivity and style of his interior. And at the same time, the interior would not be gloomy, but light.

We chose such proportions of black and white that the interior was dynamic, not boring, and light. Of course, large panoramic windows helped us in this, because the ceiling height is almost 4 ft.

Для того чтобы подчеркнуть уникальность и разнообразность черного, мы использовали базовые прямоугольные формы в пространстве и мягкие закругленные формы в мебели и светильниках.

To emphasize the uniqueness and variety of black, we used basic rectangular shapes in the space and soft rounded shapes in the furniture and fixtures.

Space for relaxation, communication and tenderness

The living room is large and spacious, it is not overloaded with furniture and details, but at the same time the space does not cause the effect of emptiness. It created several functional areas, on the sofa you can relax and spend time with loved ones, in the recliner chair you can relax and read, be in solitude, in the tea area you can drink your morning coffee.

The space is large and there's room to play with the kids when they show up, too.

Bedroom in red

Few customers can dare to have a bedroom in red. And indeed red bedroom is not for everyone, the purpose of red is to create a mood, a bright and pleasant emotion.

In order for red to be organic, we chose the shade that suited the customer very long and carefully, and in order not to overload the interior and make it too restless, we painted only one wall in red.

Red immediately evokes memories of luxury and refined taste of Victorian England, and creates a note of palatial atmosphere and adds grandeur to the interior.

This shade of red is very intense and saturated and it is very nice to look at. To balance the space, we added a black niche and dark furniture. The round shapes of the fixtures and classic accents also soften the harsh dynamics of the contrasts of black, white and red and add coziness and warmth to the bedroom.

Decor

The light decor of two large paintings with girls in the headboard and books in the black alcove, a mini-library, immerse you in an atmosphere of sophisticated intellectual chic. And stylish black and white photography connects this modern interior with history, emphasizing its continuity.
